Evaluation

This page documents the evaluation of our final production and ancillary pieces.

"In which ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?"

"How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?"

"What have you learnt from your audience feedback?"

During editing, we continually asked people within our target audience for their perception of our production and ancillary pieces. We kept doing this in order to be able to gain an updated view of our production when we made changes or developed our trailer.

We also obtained opinions from the end, to have a final idea of what our intended audience would think of the overall finished production when changes could no longer be made. As expected, comments for improvement were once again highlighted yet we accepted them as part of critics that every published film will always be given and took pride in our production and ancillaries that took a lot of hard work and effort to finalise to a standard we were proud and happy with.

Here is information about why we felt audience feedback was so important & the type of audiences we asked:

We obtained this opinions through a survey, comments on social media and in person.
Below is the survey we asked members of our target audience to fill out, we sent this survey in email to people we personally knew that fitted our target audience and on Facebook.

(We also did this on Twitter on the new application that allows you to create a poll. It would look like this:

However, due to the settings of twitter you cannot see who actually left an answer, and as we have 1,500 followers between us there is a large chance these people will not be within our target audience. Therefore, we only used Facebook and tagged people into the post that we knew were a part of the target audience.

From in person we gained a lot of feedback which was more in depth and more during the actual editing process. These opinions can be seen on the Photobook below (click play again if needed):
